SMS Messaging Policy

1. Scope
This SMS Messaging Policy explains how Metafore uses SMS and MMS text messaging in connection with Mira, an AI assistant deployed by Metafore and its carrier partners to help mobile subscribers and other authorized users.
By providing your mobile phone number, opting in to SMS messaging, or sending a text message to Metafore or Mira, you agree to this SMS Messaging Policy.
Where Mira is deployed inside a mobile carrier's network, your use of Mira may also be subject to the terms, privacy policy, and SMS practices of that carrier.
2. Types of Messages
Depending on how you use Mira, you may receive text messages including:
Responses from Mira to text messages or requests you send.
Account, service, authentication, verification, and support messages.
Reminders, alerts, confirmations, scheduled updates, and workflow notifications that you have requested or that are needed to deliver the service.
Administrative messages about Mira, your subscription, or changes to terms.
Carrier or partner messages routed through Mira on your behalf where you have authorized that interaction.
Optional product, marketing, or promotional messages, but only where you have separately consented to receive them.
Metafore will not send marketing or promotional SMS messages unless you have provided any consent required by applicable law.
3. Consent to Receive Messages
You may consent to receive SMS messages from Mira by:
Entering your phone number on a Metafore or partner website, application, or form.
Checking an SMS consent box during signup or in account settings.
Texting a keyword or message to a phone number operated by Metafore or its carrier partner.
Requesting SMS communications from Mira directly.
Enabling SMS notifications in your Mira or carrier account settings.
Opting in through another approved channel provided by Metafore or your carrier.
By opting in, you authorize Metafore and its service providers and carrier partners to send text messages to the mobile number you provided. Messages may be sent using automated technology.
Consent to receive marketing text messages is not required as a condition of purchasing or using Mira or any other Metafore product or service.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on how you interact with Mira, your settings, and the services you request.
If you actively message Mira, you may receive replies in response to your messages. If you enable alerts, reminders, or proactive notifications, you may receive messages when those events are triggered. If you have opted in to promotional messages, you may receive recurring marketing messages on a periodic basis.
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge you for SMS or MMS messages, data usage, or other related fees. Please contact your mobile carrier for details about your messaging plan.
6. Opt-Out Instructions
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying:
STOP
You may also use other common opt-out words such as CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, or OPT OUT. Mira is designed to recognize natural-language opt-out requests as well, but the standard keywords above are the most reliable way to ensure your opt-out is processed.
After you opt out, you may receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. After that, you will no longer receive SMS messages from the affected SMS program unless you opt in again.

If you opt out of one category of messages, for example marketing, you may continue to receive transactional or service messages that are necessary to deliver Mira. To opt out of all messages, reply STOP to the relevant program or contact support.

8. Re-Enrollment
If you opt out and later wish to receive SMS messages again, you may opt back in through any approved opt-in channel, including updating your account settings, submitting a new consent form, or texting an authorized opt-in keyword such as START or SUBSCRIBE.
9. User-Initiated Messages
If you send a message to Mira, you authorize Metafore and, where applicable, your carrier partner, to process your message and respond by SMS or other supported communication channels.
Mira generates automated responses using artificial intelligence. Automated responses may not be accurate, complete, or appropriate for every situation. You are responsible for the content you send and for ensuring that you have the right to share any information included in your messages.
10. Sensitive Information
SMS is not a fully secure communication channel. You should not send highly sensitive information by text message unless Metafore has specifically instructed you that the channel is appropriate for that information.
Do not send the following by SMS to Mira:
Passwords or other login credentials.
Full payment card numbers, CVV codes, or bank account credentials.
Government-issued identification numbers.
Protected health information, unless Mira has been specifically configured and authorized to handle health data on behalf of an authorized covered entity or partner.
Confidential business information that you are not authorized to share.
11. No Emergency Use
Mira is not an emergency service. Do not use SMS messaging with Mira for emergencies, urgent safety issues, or situations requiring immediate human intervention.
For emergencies, call the appropriate emergency number, such as 911 in the United States.
12. Privacy
We collect and process SMS-related information, including your phone number, message content, timestamps, opt-in and opt-out status, carrier and device metadata, and related technical information.
We use this information to:
Provide, operate, and improve Mira.
Send and receive SMS messages and route them to the correct systems.
Train, evaluate, and improve Mira's automated responses in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Maintain consent and opt-out records as required by law and carrier rules.
Prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and unauthorized use.
Comply with legal, regulatory, carrier, and platform requirements.

We do not sell or rent SMS opt-in lists. We do not share your SMS opt-in consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Where Mira is deployed in cooperation with a mobile carrier or other authorized partner, your data may be processed by that partner under their own privacy terms in addition to ours.
13. Service Providers and Carriers
We may use third-party service providers, telecommunications providers, messaging platforms, carriers, and infrastructure vendors to send, receive, route, process, and store SMS messages.
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
SMS delivery is not guaranteed and may depend on your carrier, network availability, device settings, roaming status, and other factors outside our control.
14. Number Ownership and Accuracy
You represent that you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile phone number you provide.
If your phone number changes or is reassigned to another person, you agree to update your account information or notify us promptly. You must not provide a phone number that belongs to another person without that person's authorization.
15. Prohibited Use
You may not use Mira's SMS interface to send, request, or generate content that is unlawful, deceptive, abusive, harassing, fraudulent, harmful, invasive of privacy, infringing, or otherwise prohibited by our Terms of Service, carrier rules, or applicable law.
We may block, suspend, restrict, or terminate SMS access if we believe the service is being misused, if required by law, or if required by carrier or platform policies.
16. Changes to This SMS Policy
We may update this SMS Messaging Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at https://metafore.ai/sms-policy with a revised "Last updated" date.
Your continued use of SMS messaging with Mira after an update means you accept the revised policy.
