Service Inquiries and Demo Requests:
We collect personal information that you provide when you inquire about our Service or schedule a demo. This information includes your first name, last name, email, phone number, company, and any other information you provide, including your interests in relation to our Service. We use this information to communicate with you about your inquiry or interests, and schedule a demo of our Service.
Account Information
We collect personal and/or business information that you provide when you register for an account to use our Service, including the Metafore platform. This information may include your name, email, and password. We use this information to administer your account, provide you with the relevant services and information, communicate with you regarding your account, the Service, and for customer support purposes.
Payment Information
If you sign up for paid features of our Service, payment information is collected via our third-party payment processor. Metafore does not store personally identifiable financial information such as credit card numbers.
Communications
If you communicate with us, we may collect your name, email, phone number, mailing address, and any other personal information you provide. We use this to respond to inquiries, support users, and improve our Service.
Marketing Emails
If you subscribe to receive news or updates, we collect your email address and communication preferences. We use this information to send updates about Metafore products, features, and services.
Employment Applications
If you apply for employment, we collect your contact and demographic information, educational and work history, employment interests, information obtained during interviews and any other information you choose to provide. We use the information provided to evaluate your candidacy for employment, to communicate with you during the application process and to facilitate the onboarding process.

Occasionally, we may allow selected third parties to place cookies, pixels, or similar technologies through the Site to provide us with better insights into the use of the Site or user demographics, to provide you with a better user experience or to provide relevant advertising to you.

Right to Correct: You can request that we correct certain inaccuracies in the personal information we have collected about you. You may update, or amend your information at any time by signing in to your Account, if you have one, and visiting the account settings section that allows you to manage your personal information. Please note that Metafore does not own or control the Customer Data uploaded to our Service by our customers and cannot modify or delete Customer Data except at the request of our customer, or as permitted by our Terms of Service.
In order to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or deletion, we may require you to verify your credentials before you can submit a rights request. If you do not have an account with us, or if we suspect your account has been accessed without your authorization, we may ask you to provide additional personal information for verification.
Certain states in the United States, including California, have enacted their own consumer privacy laws. As such, depending on where our users are located in the United States, they may have additional privacy rights. However, these rights are not absolute, and in certain cases we may decline your request as permitted by law:
Right to Access: You can request that we provide the certain information about how we have collected and used your personal information during the past 12 months.
Right to Opt Out of Sale or Share: You have the right to instruct businesses that sell your personal information or share it for interest based or targeted advertisements to stop doing so. We do not sell your information. [VH3]

Limit Processing of Sensitive Personal Information: You have the right to limit the use or sharing of your sensitive personal information (for example race, religious preferences, health or criminal history). However, we do not collect or disclose your sensitive personal information in the context of our Services. As such, we don’t believe this right applies to our processing of your personal information.[VH4]
Right to Opt-out of Profiling. You can opt-out of the automated processing of your personal information to evaluate, analyze, or predict personal aspects related to your economic situation, health, personal preferences, interests, reliability, behavior, location, or movements. We do not engage in any such profiling activities that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Right to Non-discrimination: You have the right to be free from discrimination or retaliation related to your exercise of any of your privacy rights.
Right to Appeal: If we decline to take action on any request that you submit in connection with the rights described above, you may ask that we reconsider our response by submitting a written request to us using the information indicated under the ‘Contact Us’ section below. We will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal, including a written explanation of the reasons for the decisions. If the appeal is denied and you are not satisfied with the reasons for the decisions, you have the right to submit a complaint to the local government authority in your jurisdiction. Your local government authority will have an online portal with details regarding how to submit complaints.
Our users in the European Union (including countries in the European Economic Union), the United Kingdom and Switzerland may exercise the following rights:
Right to Portability: You have the right to request to receive a copy of your personal information in a portable and readily usable format, to the extent technically feasible.
Right to Object to Processing: You may request that we block Your information from further processing. At [Company Name], this request is treated as a deletion.
Right to Withdraw Consent: If we process your personal information with your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. Customer Data
In providing our Service, our customers may upload data to our Service, or we may collect data on their behalf, which may include personal information or data about our customers’ end users (“Customer Data”). We collect and process Customer Data as needed to provide our Services to our customers in accordance with our customer agreements. This Privacy Notice does not apply to the processing of Customer Data.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland Customers: Metafore acts as a data “processor” for purposes of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “EU GDPR“) or, where applicable, the “UK GDPR” as defined in the UK Data Protection Act or, the “Swiss GDPR” as defined in the Federal Act on Data Protection (collectively “GDPR”). As such, our customers act as data “controllers” in relation to the data processed by [Company Name] in the performance of the Services. We process Customer Data solely on behalf of, and as directed by, our customers. We enter into data processing agreements with our customers which set out our obligations under the GDPR, including to direct any end user individual rights requests to our customers. In addition, we frequently enter into the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses with our customers in order to legitimize the transfer of Customer Data outside of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland to the US.
California (United States) Customers: For purposes of the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), in the same way as we act as a data “processor” for GDPR purposes, Metafore acts as a “service provider” in relation to the Customer Data we process in the performance of the Services. We process, retain, use, and disclose personal information only as necessary to provide the Services. In other words, we use the Customer Data strictly for business purposes (as defined by the CCPA). We enter into data processing agreements with our customers which set out our obligations under the CCPA, which includes forwarding our customers any end user individual rights requests and providing reasonable and timely assistance to our customers in complying with our customer’s obligations with respect to consumer access and deletion requests under the CCPA.
Data Retention
We will retain your personal information for the length of time needed to fulfill our business purposes unless otherwise required or permitted by law. Any Customer Data that we have access to shall be retained, stored, and deleted according to our agreement with our business customer.
Security of Your Personal Information
The security of your personal information is important to us, therefore, we have built our security program to include technical, organizational and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we collect. For your convenience, our Service may provide links to third-party websites or services that we do not own or operate. We are not responsible for the practices employed by any websites or services linked to or from the services, including the information or content contained within them. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that any personal information has been collected inadvertently from a child under 13, we will delete the information as soon as possible.
